Our winter course students will meet and chat with the principal dancer of Mariinsky theatre - XANDER PARISH.

If you want to be the best you have to surround yourself with the best. And this winter in "St. Petersburg Ballet Experience" we will continue to make the impossible possible, approach big ballet stars to share with us their magic and their secrets.

Xander Parish is a great living legend of modern ballet; let's recall some moments of his success:
• Awarded with an OBE (Order of the British Empire), for services in dance and for promoting "cultural relations in the United Kingdom / Russia" (2019)
• Winner of the National Dance Award of Great Britain in the category "Outstanding Male Performance" (2015)
• Awarded with Taglioni Prize in the category "Best young dancer" (2014)
• Winner of Léonide Massine Award in the category "Emerging talent on the international stage" (Positano, Italy, 2014)
• Winner of a Young British dancer of the year award (2nd prize, London, 2004)
• Winner of the prize in the International Adeline Genée Ballet Competition (Silver Medal, Athens, 2004)
• Winner of Ursula Moreton Choreographic Award (Royal Ballet School, 1st prize, 2003)

He was born in Yorkshire (Great Britain). Graduated from the Royal Ballet School in 2005.

He joined the Royal Ballet Company in 2005 and then Mariinsky Ballet in January 2010.
He made his debut at the Mariinsky Theater and then became the company's first foreign principal dancer!
